The incident was due to an issue in the Node.js dependency chain for users combining Firestore and Functions. We've just released https://www.npmjs.com/package/google-gax 0.14.5 to address the issue.
If you were affected, please: * explicitly request google-gax 0.14.5 in your package.json (or confirm that the npm caches are delivering this new version to you) * Re-deploy your functions.

We are investigating an issue with Functions for Firebase where affected projects could not refresh access token. We will provide more information by 18:00 US/Pacific.
