Incident affecting Cloud Messaging

We are investigating an issue with Firebase Cloud Messaging sending duplicate topic messages.

Incident began at 2019-05-06 12:00 and ended at 2019-05-07 21:32 (all times are US/Pacific).

7 May 2019	21:32 PDT	The issue with Firebase Cloud Messaging sending duplicate topic messages has been resolved for all affected users as of Tuesday, 2019-05-07 21:27 US/Pacific. We will conduct an internal investigation of this issue and make appropriate improvements to our systems to help prevent or minimize future recurrence.
7 May 2019	19:05 PDT	The issue with Firebase Cloud Messaging sending duplicate topic messages should be resolved for majority of users and we expect a full resolution in the near future. We will provide another status update by Tuesday, 2019-05-07 22:00 US/Pacific with current details.
7 May 2019	18:43 PDT	Mitigation work is currently underway by our Engineering Team. We will provide another status update by Tuesday, 2019-05-07 20:40 US/Pacific with current details.
7 May 2019	17:29 PDT	We are investigating an issue with Firebase Cloud Messaging. Up to 1% of messages sent through Firebase Cloud Message topics may have been duplicated. Non topic messages were not affected. We will provide more information by Tuesday, 2019-05-07 19:30 US/Pacific.
