Incident affecting Authentication

Cloud Firestore customers are experiencing permission denied errors when reading and writing to databases in nam5 multi-region.

17 Nov 2023	08:37 PST	A Mini Incident Report has been published to the Google Cloud Service Health Dashboard for Cloud Firestore.
15 Nov 2023	18:49 PST	The issue with Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication has been resolved for all affected users as of Wednesday, 2023-11-15 18:42 US/Pacific. We'll publish an analysis of this incident after we've completed our internal investigation. Thank you for your patience while we worked on resolving the issue!
15 Nov 2023	18:30 PST	Mitigation work to resolve the ongoing issue with Cloud Firestore access is currently underway. The mitigation is expected to complete by Wednesday, 2023-11-15 19:30 US/Pacific.
15 Nov 2023	17:32 PST	Our engineering team has identified a potential root cause and is working towards identifying a mitigation strategy. Upon further investigation, our engineering team identified that the issue is limited to Cloud Firestore databases residing in nam5 multi-region. Check the Google Cloud Status Dashboard for ongoing updates.
15 Nov 2023	14:21 PST	We're currently investigating an elevated number of permissions errors, resulting in access issues for authenticated users of Cloud Firestore.
