Incident affecting Cloud Messaging

Firebase Cloud Messaging incorrectly dropping messages to iOS devices

Incident began at 2019-04-25 13:45 and ended at 2019-04-26 12:48 (all times are US/Pacific).

The issue with Firebase Cloud Messaging incorrectly dropping messages to iOS devices has been resolved for all affected users as of Friday, 2019-04-26 12:47 US/Pacific. We will conduct an internal investigation of this issue and make appropriate improvements to our systems to help prevent or minimize future recurrence.

Mitigation work is currently underway by our Engineering Team and we are rolling back the offending change. Affected iOS users may not be able to receive data messages from Firebase Cloud Messaging. Developers will see less messages being sent to the iOS App. We will provide another status update by Friday, 2019-04-26 13:45 US/Pacific with current details.
