Incident affecting Console

Missing API Key in the Config File downloaded from the Firebase Console

Incident began at 2018-05-16 08:56 and ended at 2018-05-17 01:20 (all times are US/Pacific).

The issue with missing API key in the Firebase config file (.json and .plist) should have been resolved for all affected users as of 01:20 US/Pacific. We will conduct an internal investigation of this issue and make appropriate improvements to our systems to prevent or minimize future recurrence.

The fix is being rolled out and error rate is trending down. We will provide additional updates soon.

We've implemented mitigation to resolve the issue. The error rate should be decreasing now. We will provide another status update by 01:22 US/Pacific with current details.

We are investigating an issue about missing API key in the Firebase config file (.json and .plist). We will post an update with more information once it is available.
